I re-zero the iron roughneck’s torque cell each shift and use the first stand as a signature — if the torque‑turn “step” isn’t clean by 30–40°, add 100–150 psi to the backup jaws instead of chasing it with RPM; on cold mornings ease it back or you’ll mark chrome. @driller_dave you seeing the same on your land rigs?
